Very soon, they learn that their always-foggy street is considered bad luck, which makes it hard for Jilly to draw in customers and Stephen to sell his home. They meet and clash over his childish ways and loud parties, but Stephen is drawn to Jilly and begins to pursue her. She purchases a small book shop on Dreare Street and moves in the same day as her neighbor, Capt. In Cloudy with a Chance of Marriage, Jilly Jones runs away to London to escape her overbearing husband. I enjoyed her previous two Regency books, especially the first, When Harry Met Molly. So, looking for different, I figured a historical was a must, and lucky enough for me, Kieran Kramer recently published the next in her Impossible Bachelors series. That series, the newest book of which was published in late 2009, follows a team of Navy SEALs, and each installment was highly entertaining. After days and days of reading the vast majority of Suzanne Brockmann’s Tall, Dark and Dangerous series (and staying up way too late to do it) I was ready for something completely different.
